[WATCH] A Brief Conversation on the Future of MicroLED

MicroLED’s Next Chapter: Tackling Yields, Costs, and the Road to AR

Around this time last year, InZiv’s VP Communications, Noam Shapiro, sat down with Optica at MicroLED Connect to talk about the promise and challenges of microLED technology. The discussion focused on one of the industry’s biggest bottlenecks: low yields and high costs.

From InZiv’s perspective, the path forward is clear: high-throughput electroluminescence (EL) testing and inspection is critical if the industry is to scale and achieve mass adoption within the next few years. As Noam explains, only EL testing can replicate real device conditions and provide the insights manufacturers need to bring down costs.

The conversation also touched on the bigger picture: the importance of collaboration across the ecosystem, the resilience of the industry in the wake of Apple’s exit, and how AR (and even fashion) will play a role in shaping the future of displays.
